Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 5/11/2026
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of May's Bakery's Website, located at maysbakery.co.uk. By accessing this website we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use May's Bakery if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
2. Ordering & Payment
By placing an order through our website, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
Payments are securely processed by our third-party provider, Stripe. We do not store your credit or debit card details.
3. Delivery
We aim to deliver your baked goods in the freshest condition possible. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays outside our control, including courier delays or incorrect addresses provided during checkout.
4. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PERISHABLE GOODS:
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the standard 14-day right to cancel and return online orders does not apply to goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Because our products are freshly baked and perishable, all sales are final.
We cannot accept returns or offer refunds for our baked goods once the order has been prepared or dispatched, unless the items supplied are faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described. If you receive a damaged or incorrect order, please contact us immediately with photographic evidence.
5. Allergen Information
While we take every precaution to prevent cross-contamination, all our products are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, and soy. We cannot guarantee that any product is 100% free from traces of allergens. It is the customer's responsibility to check the allergen warnings provided on product pages before purchasing.
6. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
